Match report A dull misty start out in the bull ring. Dollars won the toss as the new captain and NK were batting and had a good start with Manny and Dollars hitting some lovely shots along the ground. Then the rain came in and the worse part of cricket ensued with people hanging around waiting for divine intervention. An early tea was taken and it was sumptuous. Then things brightened up and that yellow round thing in the sky appeared. A reduced match was agreed with 20 overs aside. NK had to adopt a 20/20 mode and started at 30 for 0 off 7. This change of format did for Dollars and Manny with them having to up the anti. Then came a partnership of 77 runs between TS and Monty who both cleared the ropes regularly on the ground and in the air. The innings ended on 125 for 2 with d/l uplifted to 151. A little below par in Tarf with us having to bowl well. Unfortunately we did not bowl well for another week and Juno teed off and got a 50 and out. Hassan Mehmood took 2 wickets on debut. But ex North Kildare man Paul Ryan came in and helped reach the total with 2 overs to spare.
