North Kildare Cricket Club Lost by 35 runs

Match report Scorecard to follow...Tough Double Header at the weekend began in Laios with a run fest of a wicket they won the toss and chose to bat, We started well and early Wkts fo Johnny Flattery who was bowling up a storm had the opposition 23-2 and a Tremendous catch from sub Fielder Anne O'Meara,we hit a wall and a huge partnership with the Laios skipper hitting over 90 and his partner 60+ we tried everything till the skipper resorted to bringing on his dibbly dobbly spin ? to remove both of them in 2 overs 2-12. James Machin coming in late to remove another Laios wkt, setting us a big 233 to win.
With James falling early Gary solid but falling to a great catch we struggled on good but brief 30 odd from Ahmed Dar losing to many Quick Wkts left Ronan Cruise and the Skipper holding the fort in a partnership that brought us in striking distance of a big win 52 needed the Cruiser had a rush of blood and left his Skipper high and Dry run out and will never let forget it !, but to his credit dug in and guided the tail to within 36 runs of a big victory, close but a creditable defeat.
