North Kildare Cricket Club Midlands U13/15 v Mullingar on Tue 19 Jul 2011 at 4.00pm
North Kildare Cricket Club Won

Match report Losing the toss for our 2nd Midland U15/U13 fixture we were put into the field. Jack Kerrison opened the bowling with spin taking two wickets and then reverting to pace (5 overs,1 maiden, 2 wickets, 16 runs). Stephen Gray bowled a very tight spell with 5 overs for only 9 runs, as did Daire O'Neill (5, 2, 2, 8) and there were also wickets for Briain Coleman (1) and Anna Kerrison came on near the end to remove their two highest scorers. Excellent bowling and excellent work in the field with catches from Daniel Courtney, Daire (2) and Luke O'Malley helped to restrict Mullingar to 84 runs.
As this was a mixed age group we decided to alternate the batting between U15s and U13s. However not many were to experience the Mullingar bowling as Matthew O'Meara carried his bat (10 runs not out) and Daire O'Neill plundered the bowling with some huge shots to record 66 not out. The two had an excellent partnership with one scoring heavily and the other keeping the score ticking over and, more importantly, keeping his wicket.
An excellent victory saw us reach our target in 12.5 overs. Well done to all.
