Match report With rain expected we lost the toss and unsurprisingly were put into bat in a match likely to be reduced by rain delays. We lost early wickets and the runrate was very low - only 18 runs off the first 10 overs. Jack Kerrison and Briain Coleman came to the crease and quietened the Pembroke fielders. Briain carried through his excellent batting from Monday's match scoring 31 runs and Jack took the attack scoring 52 not out off 35 balls despatching 2 sixes and 7 fours to the boundary. We set a target of 135 at a runrate of 4.5 runs per over. This always looked to be too low in a rain interrupted match.
Despite losing two early wickets to an excellent spell of bowling from Daire O'Neill we were not able to dislodge the next two batsmen and Pembroke reached the revised target of 95 off 21 overs in 18 overs. Despite some good performances two playing areas lost this match - too slow a runrate and some poor fielding.
