Robbed:
The nauseous feeling that descends over the batsman* when he sees Rob Neavyn striding out to Umpire. This site signals the unmistaken belief that shortly your wicket will be “Robbed” from you. In total disbelief you'll watch his bony finger raise to accept an appeal for a ludicrous LBW shout, a Run Out appeal when you are home safe so long you are re-tying your shoelace as the bails come off or see him nod as the wicky goes up for any random noise that could possibly be interpreted as ball nicking bat but is more likely to be bat of ground, ball of thigh pad, somebody closing a car door 400 yds away or the click from the numbers changing on an electronic scoreboard. ...anything really, it doesnt matter much..as long as the batsman is called Pyne* !
